Located in the Pigalle neighborhood in the 9th arrondissement, Buvette has been cooking mighty tasty breakfast/brunch items since 2012.  Though they offer traditional classics like the croque monsieur and madame, they also serve contemporary favorites like the popular toast a l'avocat (avocado toast).  What came as a huge surprise was the incredibly simple but delicious yogurt with granola.  It sparked our own attempts to create homemade crunchy oats/clusters and sweet berry reduction syrup.

If you choose to sit at the bar, you can observe the cooks assemble plates with unbelievably fresh local ingredients.  Their dinner selection changes frequently but it currently includes coq au vin, steak tartare, various fishes and beautifully cooked vegetables.  No reservations can be made at this time.  There is often a line but the table turnover rate is quite quick.  In our opinion, there's nothing wrong with the hostess overestimating the wait time.  Their original restaurant opened in New York City in 2011. Recently in 2018, they added their third location in Tokyo.
