Handmade pasta, fresh seafood, excellent local wine.  That is Miky Ristorante.  We listed this extraordinary establishment as one of our top ten restaurants in 2018Their dedication to genuine traditional Cinque Terre flavors, exceptional quality and use of local ingredients have been their vision since opening in 1980.  The restaurant is situated by the waterfront where the nightlife thrives in Monterosso, especially in the summer.  The inside is charmingly decorated with blown up old Italian photos, shelves of endless bottles of wine and colorful flowers dispersed throughout the rooms.  They also have an nice outdoor patio if you want to take advantage of the warm weather and admire the unique seafront setting.

Dishes not to be missed: homemade pasta with basil pesto, as well as the soft potato gnocchis with shaved summer truffle.  Diners ordering raviolis will be surprised by the flaming pizza dough presentation.  The dish is ignited in front of guests and as the fire subsides, the server gently tears into the crispy cover to reveal the perfectly cooked pasta.   Along with their "pyrotechnics," they carry on the tradition of de-boning fish at table side.  These are all the ways they add another level of authenticity and interaction to the dining experience.  And we believe it amplifies the flavors of the food.
